What is the downtime associated with the Halo laser? When will I see results?

Every patient is different when it comes to downtime after a Halo laser treatment in Indianapolis. However, at Phases Skincare and Laser Center, we treat hundreds of patients a year using the Halo laser. From this experience, along with our extensive training in this laser technology, we can share what patients typically experience following  the Halo procedure.

Immediately after a Halo laser treatment, your skin will appear red and swollen and have the sensation of a deep, hot sunburn, which usually lasts up to 24 hours. We advise all of our patients schedule their Halo laser treatment on a day when they can head home to rest afterwards and are not obligated to return to school or work. Generally,  the majority of patients are able to wear makeup 24 to 48 hours after their procedure.

In the days following a Halo treatment in Indianapolis, your skin may feel tight and rough to the touch, pigment may appear darker and will begin to peel. This process usually only lasts around three to five days and is what allows clearer, more youthful skin to be revealed!

In the weeks following, your complexion will continue to gradually improve. By week two or three, your skin’s pigment and texture will appear smoother, brighter, and more evenly toned.

Many patients see improved changes with just one treatment. However, most people see the best results after a series of 3 or more treatments.

As with most laser treatments, results are greatly influenced by your lifestyle, sun exposure, diet, and the use of effective skin care products. That said, your aesthetician will personalize an at-home skincare regimen for you to help maintain your results long term.
